Meet Dr. Jason Long

Dr. Long grew up in a small rural community in Northern Illinois where his love for animals inspired him to become a veterinarian.  He later graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  He currently has over 19 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in the western suburbs of Chicago, and enjoys working in private practice.  He is excited to meet the families of Elburn and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Long's veterinary approach focuses on providing the highest quality care while building long-term relationships with pets and their families. He enjoys educating clients so that they can make informed decisions together.  In his experience, he has developed advanced surgical skills, including orthopedic, reproductive, and complex soft tissue procedures.

Jason and his wife, Vanessa, enjoy raising their children in this area and value the strong sense of community. Outside the hospital, he enjoys spending time with family at baseball, softball, hockey, and horse shows. He also makes time to keep up with his personal hobbies like golf, slow-pitch softball, and supporting Chicago sports teams. He looks forward to serving this wonderful community with compassionate, dedicated veterinary care.
